I now have an etek driving each back wheel of my bike trike. There both powered by one altrax 400 amp controller. Now no more torque steer under acceleration. believe it or not one can still pedal this bike if need be..lol but i hope at least for me it will not be far..lol. ..............
sorry i meant this to be in the alternative transportation

This is a neat project. You must have pretty good acceleration too, I'd guess.

I reckon! The Etek is good for bursts up to 15hp, and you've got two aboard? And your whole rig probably doesn't weigh more than 200 lbs. Hang on!

All the cool folks are posting this sort of thing in the Fossil Fuel Free Forum!

Diver, this sounds like a really interesting project. Do you have a "build log" on it or any other additional information for us?

To run both motors off the same controller (Alltrax Axe4844?) are you just running them in parallel with each other? Same voltage, but half the amps to each motor?

Here's my motorcycle. I like it a lot and it only has ONE Etek!

Hi, not much record keeping sorry to say. the motors are in parall. not one problem as of yet and use this thing just about every day. i need to get a springer fork on it . it would help the ride a lot.
thanks

how well does the dual motor set up work when you are making sharp turns? does it act to much like it would if it was a solid axle?

Heck no it acts like open axle, turns sharp real nice. that is the reason i went to driving each wheel as on a solid axle i had problems as it would not turn very good..lol

Can you give us some specs on this rig?

Top speed
0-30mph time
0-top speed time
range under "normal" driving

I love these toy projects.

I personally wouldn't call it a "toy", it might be serious transportation for some. Very cool in any event, and I just picked up a spool of welding wire too, hmm...
