It's generally much better advice for a MT than an auto.

I' definitely play with shutting the car off, in acc on, then coasting to lights. Then maybe playing with PnG and make note of torque converter lockup points. 75-80% load on a scan gauge and then rpm's from 1750-2250 for a stick car. But really rpm's don't matter too much. On t=he interstate just PnG from 63-77 just throwing my car in neutral I went from 42 to 56ish. Still setting things in, my tank was acting up so i couldn't get a measurement.
Also, take whichever belts off you are comfortable with going out. Ex: power steering is a great one, dead stop steering sucks, but just make sure your steering input is done above 2mph and there isn't a noticeable difference between assisted and non assisted besides a lil more firmness and feedback that I like.
Also, AC if you're brave. I've considered it but meh. I never use it, but if I have people riding with me it's embarrassing not to have AC. lmao

Dunno what happened, when I was looking at it, it definitely showed a listing for a 165R14. My understanding is that when the ratio isn't called out specifically as something else, aspect ratio is assumed to be Standard Ratio, 82%

Eighty-two percent is standard? That's weird, but whatever. So long as someone has a standard, I'll go with that.

That Firestone is available even narrower as a 155R14 (I promise it's listed, I'm looking right at it), which would have almost exactly the same diameter as your factory tires. But as you say, it's not cheap for a tire you're only going to use for a summer, especially on the griddle-like blacktop where you are.

I would be careful doing EoC with an automatic. Auto transmissions generally require the engine to be spinning to lubricate, which is why they need a dolly to be towed. This may not be a problem with the brief periods the engine will be off, but keep it in mind.
