Me?

I made my current choice and due to finances it won't be a Volt. I would like one because of the Tech of the vehicle and It would be perfect for my familys needs. There is a waiting list for people to get one and like any new car despite the manufacturer you never buy the first model year till they work out the bugs.

I like to tinker I drive my gas guzzling 95' tahoe LT 4x4 daily. I paid $800 for it invested another $400 in parts and supplies she runs smooth and needs very little it is safe in the Snow and nice to ride on the beach great for long trips with the roof carrier and does a great job pulling my race car to the Drag strip or even helping me yank a few fence posts and a couple bg stumps from the yard.

People tink I am hurting the enviroment by using fuel when I am acually using it to ts potential by not purchasing a new car that takes tremendous resources to manfuacture.

There was an interesting article in Hot Rod magazine when the Prius first came out comparing it to a Suburban it was found that the Prius was almost 3 times more damaging to the enviroment then a Gas guzzling suburban many factors went into their comparitive and I found it interesting how much petroleum is used in the manufaturing process I only wish I could find it many times I have looked in my back issues for the article.

This has always made me feel better about rescuing a car and giving it second life rather than buying brand new BTW i sold a car I bought new and downgraded to the tahoe so i could get rid of several cars and a pickup. Replacing them with a old mule like the Hoe was the best financial thing I have done, now It does the job of 3 cars I used to have. I plan on pulling the motor if it ever gives way and replacing it with an LS series which will bump my mileage up from 15 to 25mpg. Now that is responsible

I am not the typical yuppie buyer... My wife... that is another story

I heard that the fellow doing the conversions wrote the legislation. Soooo, he basically wrote the legislation that created his market. The dual-fuel worked, but no one ever used propane. Scam.

Is that right?
