Neat.

I saw one of these in an office recently and it appeared as magic to me:

Recommended for their Tardigrade logo (example at 10:28) and the stick figure eye-in-a-pyramid with a bow tie and top hat at 5:47.

What a son of bit...ch TV industry !!!

When LCD and LED backlight TVs had horrible view angle, distorting things even in 15 degrees or less, they had the evil idea of call such crap distortion as a valid view angle, if we could see something, even than it look fadded, distorted or looking like transparent white ink had being sprayed on it.

Now they create something "less worse" (nano cell) and they just now finally admit the earlier versions was a crap sh...t with garbage view angles if looked not right in front.
They even made a comparison now showing how their earlier models, which they used to say to have more than 170 degree view angle, is in reality.

And even this narrow view angle representation (conventional TV on the image comparisom) it's wider than in reality, so still have some lie on it.

And I bet the nano cell TVs still have clipped whites and crushed shadows, motion blur, and also uneven light distribution if look close, like the center became brighter than the side an edges.

I also bet I will see distortions even if I look inside this view angle zone for their new TVs.

Look how just a couple years ago they said the LED TV view angle was :

As magic all LED TVs became horrible in terms of view angle, just because they launch the Nano Cell TV...
I would like punch such people on the face.

Maybe wait until you have actually had the chance to see it they're right and it is an improvement.

I mean, it's got nano- in the name, what else do they need.

My video board repair (baked in oven) of my plasma TV finally broke again. Video boards aren't available any more, at least not for less than about $200. I like my plasma, so I might try a heat gun to repair the board again, otherwise I'll end up buying an LCD of some sort.

Even if was a improvment, they lie, just lie, when they used to say LED had 178 degree of view angle !!!

It still wil have limited dynamic range, making all non HDR videos looked faded or with clipped whites and crushed shadow. If they had managed to fix the garbage dynamic range of LCD panls, they would now being talk the look of earlier models was garbage.
They will only admit the dynamic range it's a pice of garbage when they manage to create something better.

And it still will have motion blur and the sides darkers than the center when not looked at some good distance.

They can create a 20K TV, but I will always refuse to look at it if it get faded look or clipped white and crushed shadows, motion blur, uneven light if looked no far etc...

They have nano honesty !!!

Here these guys are trying to do magic with sand, all the while constrained by costs and the imperfections of the average human eye.

Maybe your being a little hard on them?

How about a Retina Display in black and white?

Not too hard, since they destroyed dynamic range, created blured images, destroyed 99% of the view angles and now I can't find a TV to watch.

Sometimes I imagine if most people are blind to dynamic range in a similar way some people are blind to colors. That's the only reason for so much people to quiet accept the disgrace of clipping white and crusched shadows.

They should quite LCD, for good, instead of try to create different versions of it with the same old problems.
