Emre2blue, nice diffusers.

Why did you narrow the channels of them?

Do you plug it into the power outlet in the dash, and leave it plugged in all the time?
Mine's always connected. I don't see how it would be shorting out.

I'll try that then. The strange thing is that the Ex power outlet only works when the key is on, so the solar charger can't be used when it's off.

Same with mine. I connected the solar panel to the always hot dome light power wire. And I used a barrel plug so I can use the panel to top off my jump starter box as well.

Actually, don't know, I did it by my self, I thought dimensions are good to do the job. And it did actually . I wish I could take a picture of the rear window when it rains while I was driving. Water goes like eight straight line from top to bottom of the window. and cuts a little 0,2lt/100 km, from the consumption. Maybe if I tweak it, it would cut more than 0,2lt/100 km, If I had a chance I would do it with 3d printer. and polish it. Current ones are stainless steel, like knife.

The vanes on diffusers are used to straighten airflow amd are generally longitudinal. Vortex generators—what I would call this example—are canted to ... generate vortexes. Which [apparently] can be helpful for reattaching airflow to a surface if they are mounted upstream from the point of separation.

Have you tried placing them on the top of the glass? That's where they would need to be on my car because separation starts about the midddle of the backlight.

I started looking for a different tire deflector material after I hit my left one on a curb yesterday. The carnage wasn't total, but it did tear things up a bit. I'll have to get some of the baler belting. I like the fact it's stiff yet flexible. Might also have to try that for side skirt material.

[edit] took a picture of the fairing. Yellow line is the part that broke off. Red circle is a metal screw that it pulled away from. The fairing also twisted about 90* after I hit the curb, and then backed away. Fortunately, I was able to turn it back and retighten the attach bolt.
As I was musing on this today, it occurred to me I could get some rubber wall border and use that as the bottom 3" which would keep the bottom flexible while still deflecting airflow around the tires...

This thread has me interested in splitters now. Need to do more reading and then build one. Friend has a whole bunch of plywood laying around from a shed he's tearing down. I think I need to grab a couple of sheets and start playing around...

Here is my "stealth" upper grill block. Coroplast from behind, glued/sealed using caulk;

I was thinking about the same thing, except all the border material I've looked at is rather flimsy. Spent quite a bit of time at the big box hardware stores looking, actually.

Sometime soon, I'm going to contact a local semi truck trailer outfitter, and see how much the rubber skirting they put on the bottom of trailer wings would run me... You know, scrap pieces. I think that would have the rigidity needed. Probably out of my price range, but, you know, it's a thought.
