The problem with California is they are anit pipe line no matter what it carries or who it may benefit.

Right, it could be a pipeline that carried non-GMO, organic, gluten free, Chai tea into every home's tap and you would have to rename it a total tubular fluid transfer device to get approval.

Not that I like flatland Californians that much, but the problem here is that you look at a pipeline (or whatever) and say that it benefits X, but overlook the fact that it harms A through W.

What does a mostly under ground pipe line hurt?

The useful idiots in Colorado who think almost exactly like sheeple in california blocked a pipe line that was going to be used to transport liquified CO2 from the high CO2 bearing natural gas wells in CO and send it to west Texas and eastern NM to be injected underground as part of carbon capture and sequestration.
Now the CO2 is just vented to atmosphere. Everybody loses, snowy winters will soon become a thing of the past and events like katrina will soon become a regular occurrence. Just because it was an "evil pipe line".
I thought they would want to loot and burn Denver if the pipe line didn't get approved, WTF.
I guess as soon as they hear "pipe line" its like a trigger phrase causing their brains shut off and they go into kill mode.
I blame congenital extreme liberal ignorance.

COČ as a fire-extinguishing agent would not be so dangerous. I see no reason for that pipeline to not get approval.

"The problem with California...!!"
My point was that California isn't a monolith. At some point El Camino Real ends and you get the State of Jefferson, right?

In the 1970s my VW bus (walk-through 13-window) had a bumper sticker that said "Don't Californicate Oregon". More lately I look on them as neighbors. Fruitcake neighbors.

The problem is not exclusive to California. Many folks are getting fooled to believe in any allegged "environmentalist" policy that does nothing but prevents a sustainable economic development. It's not about pollution, it's all about preventing other people to earn some profit.
