Hello EcoModders...what a great time MyRefugeisintheLord, BtroutMt and I had at the first Inland Northwest Ecomodders meeting. Great time of visiting and scoping each others' vehicles out. MyRefuge has a neat little CRX hf that she has done a lot of modding to herself, Kudos girl and she is netting some pretty impressive mpg's out of it! Btrout showed up with his newly acquired XFi Metro that he scored. 144k miles and it looks immaculate as it spent the majority of it's life being towed behind and RV. He has a lot of plans for modding it before he is deployed later this fall. I was able to get the Clutch job finished and ended up replacing my 5spd tranny as well in my little TDI Beetle. I made a trip to western Montana and to Tacoma Wa with it already and it is running pretty good. Netting about 51mpg so far, let's hope with the new mods i'm planning it will be in the 70's. The three of us had a blast and are excited for next month already. Same time and same place!! hope to see many more folks next month!!

Thanks Mike for a nice write up of the meet. I couldn't have done a better job.

Mike, I was thinking, how would you feel about starting the meet earlier? We could "start" it around 1:00, and everybody could show up whenever they do. 6:00, whatever. It would be fun to have more time to really see and talk about our different mods, or driving techniques. I was even thinking it would be fun to have anybody who wanted to, test drive the CRX. Once I get the MPGuino installed, that will be even MORE fun! I know I'd enjoy trying out other people's cars.

What I REALLY hope we can do eventually is help each other with tuft testing or other various stuff that having a second person would be really helpful with.

Lol, my mind is REALLY going crazy now. We could even tailgate it. At a park maybe. With snacks, maybe a potluck, and BBQ. We have a propane BBQ. We could even make it an all day thing! Lol, lots of ideas, lots of enthusiasm, and probably a lot more work then I realize.

Any of that sounds doable? Or considerable?

Absolutely, lets schedule it for Saturday April 6th, 1pm and we can meet in Post Falls at the north city park located at Spokane St x 21st Ave(just 1 mile north of the freeway). They have BBQ's there and Pik-Nik tables that we can use and i'll bring the Burgers! Others can sign up to bring the other items. I'll bring a nice, big, juicy, marinated "STEAK" for the one that travels the farthest!! No alcohol please as we would like to keep these fun for the whole family!! Excited to see everyone there!! :{)
