Kind of an extension on Vman's suggestion, how far in do separation edges affect the base pressure?

Yes I should be able to do something like that.

Fired up the system this morning... and no go.

Not sure if it's my interpretation of the software install instructions or something else. Just trialing it first on my desk PC.

Have emailed the makers.

Since I have no tech literature on this subject, and haven't personally tested it, there's a fair amount of misleading information in earlier posts...

Great! Do you want to cite it?

Still no joy with the software, so apart from lots of emails going back and forth, nothing has happened.

Can't make the provided one work, so they're sending another. Fingers crossed!

New P16A arrived and is all working.

Here it is connected to just one of the 16 pressure pucks. The spike on the moving graph display is where I blew on the puck.

The P16A talks to the laptop via Evoscann's CANDI converter.

This is the 'absolute' version of the sensor and so I set the baro pressure and then it reads positive or negative with respect to that (ie no pitot tube / tank reference pressure needed). You can warm the sensor with your hand (temp displayed on laptop) and the measured pressure doesn't change at all.

Should be able to do some car stuff tomorrow.

Edit: I've discovered a software setting for 'relative' measurements, where one port is the reference (eg connect to the static port on pitot tube).

However, there appears to be no smoothing or averaging function in the software, something that would be useful. I am not sure that I am in a position to suggest changes to the software, but I can always try!

This is far better than the switchable manifold you said doesn't exist any way.

Huh? Scanivalves have been used for decades in wind tunnels, so I am hardly likely to say they don't exist.
