How about notching and channeling the floor so you can run it on the underside but still have ground clearance?

This kinda what I decided on. I got the second flex pipe installed and welded today. I also mounted and welded in the boost control e-cut out valve.

Now the hardest part is next, running the 3" exhaust pipe from the O2 housing to the outside of the car. Then once that done I can run the 2" bi-pass muffler system around the e-cut out valve.

Then run the oil feed and oil return lines.

Just when I thought I'm Normal lol

Well now my wife thinks I have lost my mind, and she's probably right.

Just a few spy shots from what people will see from the outside of the car.

Under side shot. Showing second flex pipe and LP turbo return pipe to HP turbo.

Won't the back of your head get really hot?

Do you weld the pipes yourself?

So since she thinks I'm crazy I might as well push it some more? "Look honey I got me a North Idaho Diesel Stack" j/k LMAO... OK I promised her I would keep the outside stock appearing. No Diesel stack.

That's what the nitrous bottle is for.

But seriously the turbo will be 100% box in with a 1/4' steel scatter shield. Then I'm going to run a Lexan full divider behind the seat and in front of the turbo and piping. The quarter vents will now become functional and bring in air from the outside for the turbo and to keep the rear compartment cool.

Anyway that's the plan's. IM kind of just winging it here.

I have a great friend that does all the welding "Eric Ferguson Fabrication and Iron Works". He will be also cleaning up the engine charge pipes and building me a custom oil breather. IM going have him build me a one off roll cage also this winter.

How are you going to "exhaust" the air in the rear compartment?

IM thinking that the turbo will be able to flow enough air that will be pulled from the outside through the quarter vents.
Without vent covers

With vent covers installed.

IM also going to have a vent under the car that will have a valve on that I can run by a cable. I will be able to open the valve and ventilate the LP turbo box during summer months. Or close it during winter months.

I was thinking along the lines of having some vents to get the air in. It looks like you are using the factory vents in the rear quarters. Is that correct? I don’t have a really warm and fuzzy feeling about how much air those factory holes can flow.

What is the surface area of the existing holes? How big is the turbo?

Have you considered using some NACA ducts? They would work great in the quarter. But they would probably work in the under-pan too.

But you need to get the air back out of that rear area. On paper you want the ability to flow more air out then you are flowing in. It will keep the air a lot cooler in the compartment; it will significantly improve airflow in too.

I have an “exhaust vent” in the back of my 07’ located in the low pressure or vacuum behind the car. It draws air through the rear compartment really well. I’m using mine for a different reason (I have a heat exchanger back there) but it’s the same concept.

Something to consider.
