Thanks for your help, and that's a awesome looking Mustang

My thoughts were to use the factory vents in the quarters? They might not be enough though? The vents measure 2" x 6 1/2" ea.

The street /race engine and turbo set that I'm running now will flow
61 lbs/min.

My full race engine with the bigger turbo setup will flow around 95 lbs/min.

I don't do much in lbs/min. Do you know what that is in cfm? I'm to lazy to look it up, I'm just stopping to eat for a minute.

Those vents will flow about 3000cfm combined. Which should be plenty to feed most turbo's (excluding something like twin 98's) unless the vents won't move as much air as they are supposed to because of aero considerations.

As far as venting goes I was thinking that if you open up and exhaust somewhere you will actually move air through that compartment opposed to just letting it fill. This will do a couple of things for you. It will keep temps in the compartment down, it will actually move more air into the vents because you are creating a low pressure zone on the back side of them and it will reduce drag.

My figures show around 1376 CFM with the 95 lb/min turbo setup. This is based on 0.069 air density.

I like your rear fan setup. This is something I might try on my car also?

Got away and went on a road trip and had a blast in Walla Walla wine country.

While taken it easy and getting some time to think I decided to run a air to water first stage intercooler. It will help when racing the car (drop air temp down below ambient temperature), and also give me some control over intake temps during winter by letting the water heat up and increase air temps to the second stage turbo?

Check this out.
At about 1:23 and at 2:34 the turbocharger waste gates open.

Race tracks in the UK have placed noise limits on race cars, this car exceeds those limits, cant imagine why.

For some reason this is not posted on youtube and I had to use an alternative video site.

Neat car and neat video.

However, there is no way it has lower CO2 emissions than a Prius unless it's left sitting in the garage with the engine off.

If it's running on its electric motors it does.
