If and when you have some extra time, please go to a scrap yard or somewhere else that has a scale and weigh the car for us.

No need! Gene said it weighs about the same as a normal metro sedan. Though to be honest I rather doubt it and I’m not sure at what point in the car’s life that weighing was. I’ll do it myself eventually.

Which parts have been removed and which were added?

How about giving the front wheel wells the 1950 Nash Rambler treatment? That little 100" wheelbase Nash is practically the grandparent of the Metros and Civics anyway... the original US-production "compact" car.

That only works because of how deeply inset the wheels are. If I were to do that on this car, I would have to make the body over a foot wider per sided, which is no good for aero.

I like this example. I had a 1959 Rambler wagon in college.
Has anyone mentioned the genius behind the 1949 Airflyte? www.hemmings.com/stories/article/1949-1951-nash-airflyte
Nils Wahlberg. The Uniscope dashboard only lasted two years, but integrated heater controls became industry standard.
Beetles are routinely narrowed to bring the fenderline down. J-Bugs catalog:

The example shown looks to be 4" or more. I think it should have skirted front wheels. maybe bubble skirts.
Have we established what a Trekintosh is?

Okay, yes, cars can be narrowed, but I don't want to deal with the suspension and chassis engineering I'd need to do to safely have a wheel with such a strong negative offset and not have it collide with anything.
Trekintosh is a portmanteau of Star Trek and the Macintosh computer. Back when I made my online moniker I was a big fan of both.

I bought a 128K Mac in the first 100 days. Went on to sitting in a chair for Symantec.

If you wanted to, then, you could take cues from some circa 1960 US auto interiors for yours... their mass produced futurism sometimes has a little James T. Kirk in it. Or, remember the minimalist controls on everything in the original series? Like those shuttles they sometimes flew down to planet surfaces? Or were you more into the movies or the Next Gen?

Mainly the TNG/DS9/VOY era. But I already have an extremely strong vision of the interior. Brushed and anodized aluminum like a 70s hi fi and LEDs, buttons, and VFDs like a 90’s digital dashboard.
