Where are the strakes going to end up ?

I've always wondered wether "fences" alongside the insides of the wheels would help.

Installation of the rear pan is done. I think it turned out okay, but the proof will be how it performs. The main panels fit together as expected, but I am not entirely happy with the small center panel that covers the exhaust pipe. It had to make a compound curve and my metal forming skills are not that great.
Here is what I had left to cover.

This is the finished product. I attempted to cover part of the rear control arms with some latex sheet and Gorilla tape. It looks ugly but it's out of sight. time will tell if it stays on or not.

euromodder, this is where the strakes go, or are they fences?

Tomorrow is the test run. The forecast is for high 40's F and a head/crosswind. Not the best for testing but I'll post how it goes.

Cheers.
It's the same, serves the same purpose anyway.

I'm a bit surprised you've still got the rear wheel spats on though.

I know mudflaps do hurt a little, but they also help save the paint. Eventually I hope to boattail these so they help instead of hurt.
Well, the test run to Edmonton was a bust. The trip up (heading North) there was a NW wind (worst possible direction) of 12mph/gusting to 25mph. I was driving 60-63mph and down to 50 for the last few miles in Edmonton and just barely managed 30mpg. There was no wind on the return trip though and I still was only showing 32.9mpg on the SG. There were just too many variables to draw any accurate conclusions, but indications are that it made no improvement over the partial rear pan that I had made last summer and maybe no better than no rear pan at all. Last trip to Edmonton I had a light SE wind both ways, the rear pan was off and I avg'd 32.7mpg round trip. Anyway, I need some more highway time to see for sure and I probably won't get it for a while now. I am wondering, though, if I should had ended the pan at the bottom edge of the bumper cover.

I waited an entire winter for the effects of the bellypan on the T-100 to show up.Come spring,it finally emerged from the scatterplot.Hang in there!
She looks slick and I think the troposphere will agree.
