Yes - but we now know it isn't limited to felix domesticus. It may infect other mammals as well.

Acting U.S. Navy chief accused the fired ship captain of being "stupid"
He said this to the Captain's ship, over the loudspeakers, to the very Sailors that the Captain endeavored to save: https://www.reuters.com/article/uk-h...-idUKKBN21O1OJ
Were you guys aware of this feud?

White House trade adviser Peter Navarro on Monday questioned the experience and medical judgment of Dr. Anthony Fauci

Quote:
Navarro, who has no medical experience, went on to assert that "doctors disagree about things all the time," and forcefully defended his credentials as sufficient for him to weigh in on the scientific deliberation over the drug.

But when Fauci was asked his opinion of hydroxychloroquine at Sunday's briefing, the president interjected before the career immunologist could respond to reporters.

How about masks from blue shop towels?
Strangely, Brave on my phone doesn't hit a paywall, but it did on Lappy.
Lindsay Medoff runs a small clothing manufacturer and didn't like people making masks out of cotton because it is too breathable. She also felt that the designs were inadequate. She and her friends made their own testing equipment and tried every material that they could find and she came up with her own design that seals much better.
Quote:
They're also raising money to get their mask tested with the actual COVID-19 pathogen to see whether their design could be validated as a safer solution during the mask shortage.
|
As much as I appreciate professional opinion, professional testing seems better.
Using blue shop towels in homemade face masks can filter particles 2x to 3x better than cotton, 3 clothing designers discover after testing dozens of fabrics

I think cotton would be a poor choice because it absorbs moisture and restricts airflow.
I've got a polyester balaclava. You think banks mind wearing those?

I haven't stepped in a bank in probably a couple years. Usually I only go when I need a large amount of cash. I prefer to make vehicle purchases with cash since people trust it.
