Euromodder - In Canada & the US, we only got the Corolla in the sedan & 4 door wagon style. That's been the case since the 80's, methinks.

well second tank in it and once again it comes up to 52mpg. its still ok here so i dont run the AC much. my daily drive is real flat and the stops i do have to make i can see coming for over a quatermile away so my coast downs are real long and straight. I also changed my route to were I only have one red light both ways the rest are stop signs with maybe a 2 car wait if any at all. I will give it a few more tanks then I will start the aero mods. I need to post some pics but I don't know how yet.

Nice. Seems like you've definitely scored an efficient ride.

What's your drive like in terms of speed? I'm guessing your rolling average is around 45 mph?

no im going 55-60. I dont have to change speed that much because I changed my travel time to avoid the traffic and the stop and go stuff. So once I hit 5th, the next time i hit the clutch is 25 miles away. Also the whole route is freshly redone so its baby smooth.

this whole thing is crazy to me too. But no matter how I do the math it comes up to 50+. When I was driving my Ram I would do 480 miles on the trip to the tank. That would take me about a week and a half to hit that mark. With this car I am on the same time frame for fill ups and the trip is right on. So I dont know.....

Wow - that's really good for 55-60.

My dad had an '06 Corolla sedan 1.8L automatic, and it was good for ~43 mpg (US) at 55 mph. (Though that was tested in cold conditions - it'd be a bit better in the warm.)

well i got 4 tanks on the car now and the last one got me 55mpg. this is 100% virgin car. I have done no aero mods. I want to do an aero dam but the car really sits low already. i have bottomed out a few times. I am thinking about an under belly pan, smoothy wheel covers, and maybe a grill block.

I dont know about the grill block yet because its not peak summer yet here in houston. and I have yet to get a guage on the engine temp meter yet. it dont have any numbers so it kinda hard. I am thinking about adding a digital gauge, tack, on an "a" piller cluster.

anyone have any other input? I am looking for that 60mpg marker.

Great deal on the low mileage Toy. You could always dig up a diesel somewhere to put back in the Dodge. That would Kick the MPG up a bit all the while Going Green.

the dodge will go back with the 318. it just cheaper. $1300 for a rebuildt long block.

But Just changed the oil in the Yota. went with 0w20 synth from 10w30 dino. If i dont think its worth it i will go back. but my best friend runs an oil station so cost really is not that much for me.

Well i am back and will up date my progress here more. I am at 125% over epa so i think i am doing good. for a full up date read this post on the % mpg battle that was started.

http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthrea...epa-18075.html

the result of that post I actually got into some mods now. I did a 3/4 grill block for now and installed some smoothies. I need to get some sheets to do my belly pan and too do fill in the wheel gaps front and rear.

*edit*

Here are some pics of my dash and crappy temp gauge that i have. you can see my speed and the engine temp. outside temp was over 100 so with this block off i don't think i have anything to worry about next summer. even getting off the freeway at this temp this is the highest that my needle goes. Also with the cooler mornings i don't even get out of high idle. my temp gauge is about half what is it in the pics. with this crappy oem gauge and no markings is the main drive i want to go with an aftermarket one. this way i can see whats going on a lot better.
