Yeah, some people need to have big trucks and some just drive around in them.... But the fact is that a lot of them are on the road and few are offering up any advice on fuel efficiency.

But it's important. Raising the fuel economy of a vehicle that gets 17 mpg 20% saves a lot more fuel over rasing the fuel economy on a geo metro 20%. Way to go!

By the way, if you ever decide to make one for the B-Series/Ranger let me know! It might get my truck up to 40 mpgs, and that must be like 5 motorcycles or so getting 100 mpgs!!

Nice work Bondo!

I'm only worried someone else will beat you to the punch.

Where I live the news paper is running stories about how the gas crunch is making families who live 50 miles away from work car pool (2 people) in 1 Tahoe rather than driving a Tahoe + F-350 v10 (carpool 3 days a week out of 5 day work week). Poor Poor people. If you commute 100 (200) miles a day buy a car. If you need a truck well then; now is the time to buy one!

Great news !!! Even better knowing you were pulling those numbers @ 69mph !!!

Imagine if you did a run at 60 or even 55 ... I'm still pulling for ya and trying to get that cap picked up by anyone and everyone I know ...

BTW Obviously you have it ready for the F-150, any other fullsize trucks that you can make it for?

Laterz ...

Great design...I saw a picture on this site I think...The silver F150 ? Anyway great news about beating 25 witha V8. I just stuck an airdam on my Ranger with the 4.0 liter V6 an now it's getting 22+ per gallon. I still need to invest in a scanguage to verify that result, but my math aint bad on the whole, so I know I'm not too far off. Currewnt;y working on an aero shell for my Ranger, so maybe I can up the mpg's a bit more. I doubt if it will be as well designed as yours, my building skills are a bit more redneck, but yours was the inpiration.
Thanks
Rich M

This inspires me to aim for 30 MPG in my V6 Double Cab Tacoma. Gotta get a Scanguage II.

Later,

Allan Greenblazer
