Also useful to prevent road debris from damaging the undercarriage. BTW did you get it as a second-hand import or was it available brand-new in Australia?

Second hand import from Japan. They used to sell an 'Alto' here up until 2016, but it was actually a completely different car (A-star/nissan pixo), with no VVT, a 1L engine and a larger, heavier body, and was replaced by the Celerio.
Importing took a few months, but I wasn't in a hurry to get it. Nothing has gone wrong on it yet (except when the battery went flat after I didn't drive it for a while) but hopefully the local Suzuki presence makes getting parts not too bad.
Since it's a grey import, it's had to be modified to meet Australian design requirements to get registered, but that's only minor things like light bulb fittings.

Did a 870km highway trip today; based on the fill up and fuel gauge, it would have been about 28L total, 3.2L/100km, >70mpg! The odometer seems to read about 2-3% high with the new tyres (that match factory outer diameter). This was with the rim spokes taped over and the rear wheel well gap filled in with some corflute. No drafting, but I did go 10kmh under the limit! I have access to a lot more tools here, so should be able to make the mods more permanent and get the undertray done finally, I'll probably put any future updates in a thread specific to my car now it isn't stock.
