just donated, going in to a 95 land rover discovery with a 3.9. right now big improvement over previous as i had a bad tps sensor that didnt throw a code. It improved to 12.75 mpg avg per tank from a lot worse before

Sweet, I guess I should mention the .86 updates are what is currently shipping on the prebuilt (metric display option is the biggest functional change + atmega328 + etc). There were a couple orders that we had to sit on for a few days while testing/finalizing the updates, I think the shipping labels were printed on thursday or friday, hope nobody minds too much.

I just ordered tonight, will mine do metric or should i have been specific when ordering?

It is an option, you go into the setup (tap left + right buttons once), go through the different setup items till you get to the "metric" screen, and set it to 1 (if you want metric display)

It will then display labels in their metric versions, i.e. L(iters) instead of G(allons), K(ilometers) instead of M(iles), L(iters per 100)KM instead of MPG, and do all the appropriate conversions.

The setup values are still in "english" so that we don't have to complicate the user contributed Table of car settings.

Hello,

I was one of the first who bought the Mpguino.

However, it is not in metric system, while here we use only metric units.

Does somebody know how one can update the old version to metric? And how can I load it to the chip?

In the meantime, I already bought a new chip as the one that came with the Mpguino had too little memory. How can I replace it?

Is it a matter of unplug the old and plug the new, then load the software?

I think i read somewhere that some members have purchased this unit recently. But have not had it shipped to them for along time. so has this vendor stopped making them?

That is the kit, from fundamental something or other, I don't remember. Amy is pretty good about turnaround with the prebuilts, though I think she is out of little connector pins so might be a slight delay. Theres a place that has them in stock a few towns over if it drags on too long.
