Quick question: my Volvo fires all injectors together instead of sequentially; how do I account for that?

Update, we had a snafu with the supply of the previous connectors, and they were a royal pain in the behind besides (lots of shorting out in the field).

So to make things simple, and get the units out the door, we went with an rj11 (phone) plug on a 5 foot lead (the retaining clip is up in this picture).

You can get an inexpensive box, which can certainly house some additional circuitry if needed, or you can dyke the plug off and split and splice as desired.

What about the back of them?
So I guess the wires into the MPGuino will be soldered on and detach at the male phone jack. So we can call it a RJ11 pig tail. I like that better and the wires are made to handle 12v.
Can't wait to get mines!
Thanks.

Got my new "pigtailed" version in the mail on Thursday; just installed it in my '00 Civic HX. I'm feeding +12V and ground from my stereo's wiring harness; the injector and vss signals are coming from my ECU (called ECM in the Honda manual). A word of caution: be very careful when stripping the injector and vss wires. I got a bit overzealous in stripping the vss wire, and it snapped. Thankfully there was just enough left to strip off each end of the break and twist/solder them back together. I could easily have not been so lucky and forced to replace the cable on the plug side of things.

How about using some of these!
I've used them for ECU sensor connections and never had a problem tho soldering them is better but I have yet to experience problems.
Just make sure you get the correct one for the wire thickness or you will cut some strands of copper.

Ooh! I like! Those things would have saved me about an hour's worth of work--not to mention not needing an inverter for my soldering iron. Oh well--the burned hand teaches best, especially when it gets burned by a soldering iron!

1. Does the $55 assembled MPGuino require an arduino?
2. Does it require you to program it at a computer before using it?

I used to work installing car electronics and do all my own so learned all the tricks during the last 20 yrs! fusing them together is the best sure way tho.
&
JOE123,
I think they can run on it's own but you can add the Arduino to handle more readings, options, and even program to run things?
I did not look much into it tho but it seems to be a open source/ programmable piece of hardware you can use to monitor and control other things. Maybe like signal your motor to do something early or turn on a warning light ?
