Differences/extra features you can get with my custom code/hardware:
* added metric version (must choose before code/firmware uploading, no change possible in settings)
* bargraphs (shows 2min average 4-12L/100km - dropped 0-4L to gain better resolution)
* battery voltage
* trip cost (in settings you enter fuel price)
* current trip does not reset automatically after 2min engine off. Manual reset like tank trip.
* tank trip time in hours.minutes, current trip time is now available too
* saving tank trip data to eeprom (dont forget it when disconnected)
* some values are shown in integers (speed, rpm)
* removed leading zeroes (instead "012.45" shows " 12.45")
* added dragrace screen (0-100km/h time, 400m time and trap speed, calculated horsepower)
* using Atmega chip sleep mode (consumes about 5milliAmps versus 20milliAmps when in sleep)
* instant speed does not jump around - it means accurate speed and distance!
* small PCB so you can mount buttons separately (if buttons on top is not suitable)

So would the bargraph not work for vehicles getting under 4.0 L/100km?
I'm putting money aside for an MPGuino, it will be my next purchase.

JBD, what is the width and height of your MPGuino? I'm looking for a project box to fit it and my oil pressure gauge, so any kind of dimensions would be great.

ignoring the buttons coming out the top, and using a scale to measure,
Width is 3.15", height is 1.4"

Add another 0.1" all around for tolerance and you'd be safe.

How much, on average, are yous guys charging for one of these units? I'd like to EVENTUALLY order one of these for my 1991 Jeep Cherokee Laredo 4.0L with the AW4 Automatic Transmission, New Process Gear 242 Selec-Trac Transfer Case, Dana35 Rear Axle & Dana30 High-Cut Pinion Front Axle, so I can monitor my Current MPGs on long trips more accurately, as well as on my Daily Work Commutes.

This would be purchased once I've been able to do the GoJeep 20-To-25-Gallon-Fuel-Tank-Capacity-Increase-Mod on either my Factory-Original fuel tank, as is currently installed, or on an exact-fit OEM Replacement Fuel Tank from one of my after-market online sources, should the current FT need replacing due to serious dents, gouges, rust-out, etc., etc., etc.

Update: since I SHOULD be getting my IRS Refund by the end of the month, I've decided to purchase the MPGuino from JellyBeanDriver via his Web Page dedicated to THIS product, as DCB appears to no longer be handling the assembly and sales of said item. Hey, JBD, I'll send you a PM as soon as I've ordered, okay? Once I've received said unit I'll send you another, and then once I've installed and gotten it up and running, I'll PM you again as well as post my first impressions of this device on this thread. Here's hoping everything works out the way it was intended.../8/

Yes it does not show bar if consumption is under 4L/100km
I can always configure it to other values if user requests it. Defualt i 4-12L/100km or 18-58MPG
I have used 3-7L/100km too and then you can see 0.25L resolution instead of 0.5L

Guys please help

I've made a temporary mpguino on a breadboard configuring to metric,
the thing is that some times it shows a consumption of 9.99 and all readings went crazy...
Also other issue how i am i going to calibrate it cause it shows pulses per mile and not pulses per Km the same is for Microsec per gallon...
and for last i can see some display flicker like on pc monitors when are configured with wrong refresh rate...

Version is V0.86 on a 16Mhz crystal

There's a metric option in v0.86 code or you can use "Canadian" metric v0.81 code.

If you want to calibrate US version you just need to use conversion factors that you may find here: Fuel economy conversions / calculator - EcoModder.com
