Looks like it costs way less than getting professional tint installed and is probably more forgiving in terms of how its installed. For us regular Joes to go down to the parts store and buy a roll of tint will cost about the same as that (much bigger) roll. Application is most likely easier and mistakes not as noticeable so the installer doesn't need to worry as much about dirt under the film or shrinking it perfectly to the window like us "regular" tint guys. I'm interested to see how easy it applies and how well it looks when done. One nice thing about exterior application is that (depending on the window) the window is where you rest your knife to trim the excess, instead of tracing the inside area that requires a more meticulous and steady hand. My rear and side cargo windows would be cake with this stuff as they have a nice gap all the way around them since they don't open and site flush to the body. I'd love to see a white car all done up with white vinyl on the windows. I've been thinking of doing something similar to my Focus and calling it "project space shuttle", all white station wagon (including all rear windows now) with black accents lol.
However, exterior application does open one up for a prank by the local teenager trying to prove to a girl that he's a badass by peeling off window vinyl...
plus you can do this with vinyl lol

So, what happens if a company has this printed and applied to a new car, and then they remove it and sell the vehicle ten years later. Will it have polka dots?

lol. not on the window. thats the context I'm using.
I imagine on a new car exposed to sun, yes.
this lasts 3-5 years so figure perfs would be shuffled around.

good observations and assumptions.
i scraped/sprayed the window first. was thicker but more flexible than tint. ripped if stressed too much.
got the general size:
pretty good eh?
finished:
inside view:
heat gun on low was good to work out creases. after applying heat, used a wet paper towel to daub instead of rubbing it. moisture cooled it after heat had laid it down.
one spot got too much heat and it shrank. i used water in a bottle but don't think i need to. once laid, it was easy to peel. once it hits the sun i should stick real well.
will look at the rear side windows to see if there is a chance it will peel off or scrape the white when rolled up/down.
these came in also. will see if they hurt mpg's (they don't):
too many times a storm hit and wasn't able to get to the windows and it gets hot with them up.
last.
ran with the grille block removed 2 days and mpg instants were lower than usual so it went back on.
engine temps and ac worked the same both ways.
have plans for the OEM grille though.
*EDIT*
didn't notice any change in FE this morning from visors. was noticeably a little quieter from incoming wind.
view through rear window was good. similar to darker tint. camera view is not as bad as thought. can still distinguish vehicles in monitor.
so far so good.

Looks like good stuff. I might have to get some of that when I'm back in warmer climes.
Is it easy to get off if you screw up application?

while applying, i was able to lift it off before i applied heat. didn't lift it after the heat because it was where i wanted it. i used heat to remove creases.
