Anyone interested in an igbt power stage should read this document:

how much of that did you follow? i see that in their document they have two big planes for the bus bars that connect the igbt's, and yours are only parallel bars. they also spread their igbt's out for better heat sinking, but i had read that it was better to mount them as close to each other as possible, so that the devices drawing more current would heat up and bring the adjacent ones up to temperature as well. just curious, your design looks great. i'm probably gonna build something really close to it here pretty soon. i'm thinking that i'm gonna go with a larger number of smaller capacitors though, to try to keep the overall size of the box down some.

Hurray! I tested the 1000amp controller in the car. Everything worked just right! It felt very smooth. I was a little worried about the new current sensor, but it was friggen perfect. Well, I didn't push it too hard. That's on accounta I's real scared, Mars Tom...:

Loved the video, kept wanting you to put your foot down! But I did wonder why you were driving on the wrong side of the road.......

I finally got to watch Paul's latest video in post 4719.

That is SO TEMPTING to crank the amps in an old VW Bug!

One thing that I don't like about my Electro-Metro is that front-wheel drive is just NOT as good for burn-outs.

Maybe we all need to build Paul a new coupler to be able to push the power through!

NEDRA, here we come!
