Darned woodpeckers (plural) have me discovering new frontiers in airgun technology. There's some powerful .50 cal stuff out there... which is totally inappropriate for a woodpecker.

I bought a new scope and a pellet magazine for my BB gun. Maybe I'll sight in this weekend.

I have a new appreciation for airguns though. In a SHTF scenario, you want that for your target practice and hunting because the ammo is cheap and lasts forever. Save the powder for when your life depends on it.

I learned that some airguns have supersonic ballistics.

Just stay subsonic and increase bore diameter plus projectile mass or go full auto as needed.

Once, at a bar whose owner is a friend of my mother (maybe the only bar owner in the area who didn't kick her out... yet), there was a speaker right above me. That was much more disturbing than any earbud, not to mention the b@$tard who was supposed to be singing there was grunting some Whitesnake POS (I really hate Whitesnake), and my mother screaming at the top of her lungs right beside me as she usually gets overwhelmingly excited when any random SOB plays any Whitesnake POS. Some years ago, she even wanted to come for a Whitesnake concert in my hometown.
