$1,645.00
If this picture disappears one day, I made every reasonable effort to upload it, but the forums didn't like the link. I deleted everything after .png and it still didn't work, but it never seems to.
I saved the image to my computer, uploaded it, and the forums still gave me attitude.
I copied and pasted the image, saved it, and still couldn't upload.
Ecomodder insisted the PNG was a JPG, so I saved it as a JPG, and it still didn't work.

That's the one, except there was a cubical farm full of them. At the 2002 purge, everyone wanted to know if they could take their's home with them. No dice.
The front edge of the seat falls away so there is no pressure on the backs of the knees.
They were only $900 then.

When I went to work for Symantec, I wore my La Cie company jacket, which was a black-on-black letterman's jacket. After a month or so Symantec gave everyone in the building a black-on-black letterman's jacket with the Symantec logo.
Except theirs were nicer, with lined sleeves.

I've given MS money in the form of a license having already been paid for it to be pre-installed on a laptop. Buying a cheap laptop without an OS preinstalled is basically not a thing.
Other than pre-installed Winders, I bought MS Flight Sim '95. The MS Sidewinder joystick was fantastic back in the day, and I've always appreciated the ergonomics of their mice.

www.oneusefulthing.org: A guide to prompting AI (for what it is worth)
TLDR: Prompting is stupid. Yopu want to converse. There are some interesting points

A little bit of magic
Okay, I lied slightly about the “there-are-no-magic-words” thing. There are some phrases that seem to work universally across LLMs to provide better or different results, again, by changing the context of the answer. Some possible things to experiment with:
- Be creative/make any assumptions you need...
- Show your work/provide sources/go step-by-step....
- Write me code and tell me how to use it....
- Write a draft/provide an example....

It sounds like the easiest access is Microsoft's Bing. I don't mind M$FT so much since Steve Ballmer is gone.

Me being unsatisfied with some downsides of Windows doesn't mean I'm getting rid of it right now. Maybe someday I'll take that step and never look back? I don't know. But I still remember when an uncle of mine told me about "Hackintosh", yet I never even tried a normal Mac either...

As long as slim doesn't mean crappy, I would be OK with that. But in general, Windows has been quite annoying sometimes. Had Macs not been so expensive, maybe I would've made a different choice...

MAC is for people that want basic functionality and want to spend the minimum amount of time learning anything. Linux/Unix is for people wanting maximum control and want to spend the maximum amount of time learning. Windows in between those extremes.

I was planning on creating a new thread, but since you mentioned it: I see videos of AI doing wonderful things for people--most of the time. I tried to use ChatGPT, but if I did anything besides one of their suggestions it just did a search, and since this was through Bing, it did a Bing search.
[shudders]
Someone wrote a scripting language for TradeWars 2002 many years ago and different people have updated it.
I have written various scripts over the years. I swear I wrote one when I was in Afghanistan that would automatically transwarp my planets to different sectors and trade for me.
I wrote a new one a while ago, but I never worked out the bugs for the existing features, let alone add new ones.
Most players pay $25 for a helper called Special Weapons and Automagic Tradewars Helper (SWATH) that automates lots of stuff, like traveling the universe and trading--or, if you accidentally wandered into another player's base, lost a very nice ship, felt disgruntled about it, invaded, and suddenly went "Evil," it will rob and steal throughout the universe for you!
Maybe that makes twice as much money as trading legitimately.
I don't know.
If you self-destruct you are supposed to clear your experience and alignment, so I wanted to do that right before reset, but I lost track of time.
Anyway, first of all, I don't know how to make ChatGPT work, and I don't know that I could explain a text multiplayer on-line game from the eighties to it.

I think that is a good description, but Windows can still be unnecessarily frustrating.
In particular it annoys me that Windows wakes up when it wants to, no matter how many different ways I tell it to not to, and the same with resetting for updates.
Atlas doesn't even have updates!
Remember when you could hit [win]+an arrow and Windows sent that window to that half of the screen?
To quote The Tick, right before he inhaled his mucus clone: "I didn't want to do this. I really didn't want to do this!"
![](https://ecomodder.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=33745&stc=1&d=1682586613)
[it didn't do anything]
Let's try the other way!
Win+Left moved my window to the right half of the screen, but usually I need to do that twice.
The first time it doesn't quite line up right.
Why doesn't it line up right?!
I love it when I set up the two windows I am using on my screen and once I have the second one set up right Windows realizes that I am arranging windows and shows everything that I have running.
What do you want on top of this window you just carefully arranged, boss?!
Nothing! I am finished arranging!
