More trestle and car parts. The inverter bracket has been on since yesterday and have been on lots of bumps and it's not broke so all good. I made it extra strong since the steel one was around 6mm but the inverter only weighed about 10-15kg shared between 3 or 4 brackets so I could have made it lighter. Mostly carbon with dress aramid, although a bit ropey and rough, also not quite cured...the engine heat will sort that

The straight bar is from the trestle. Another much longer one to do and quite tricky. The molds done and half laid up but no pics yet, I added some directional fibers too

So as I was told getting rid of my backbox would ruin my mpg, yes I found out it was true but this titanium will replace my centre box/resonator. I will test the spl before and after also as well as mpg. It took one hour and 15 minutes to saw through with the carbide hacksaw, it's hard work. Just the slots to do unless I make sleeves and use stainless rivets, I will post soon..

What is the final configuration?
So, you will keep stock back box (muffler?), but the pipe will be from titanium, and center box (is that resonator or catalytic converter?) will be replaced with raw titanium pipe?

What do you think of this?

www.youtube.com/results?search_query=forged+carbon+fiber

How Strong is Forged Carbon Fibre? Forged Carbon vs Aluminium vs Markforged vs Onyx

The tensile test shows the catastrophic failure mode. Optimized forged carbon fiber sounds like the winner.

I will make a white gelcoat or it will take too much paint

Finally done. I will replace the rear joint with titanium I have spare, not a very good design. The spacer gap I used cf and cyanoacrylate then sanded, it's been up steep hills and fine so far. Alot quieter and around 2800g less

That's A weighted db

Also I filed the spacer so the titanium I had to heat up to fit, then it only needs a light worm clip
