Evidently I hadn't tightened down some damn nut for that forgotten-named rod that goes between the lca and the front cross member.

^^ So now that I've tightened it there is a loud clunking with every revolution of the wheel.

I'll look around for a blowup, but I'll prolly just take the front end off the car tomorrow and mess around/retighten it.

According to the helms manual I may very well have a short in my VSS wiring.

Also, I believe the shift up light is found on D1, will test that hypothesis later.

Forgot about ya saturday. If you still need me to look up the pin output, I'll be at a friends shop on tues and back to my regular job on wed so either way I can get it.

Have you tested the VSS wire with a testlight or meter yet? When I test it, I always just tap a wire into it and then run it to my testlight inside the vehicle, then I drive it and see if it starts flashing the light. The faster you go the faster it will flash. If its shorted, it will be a dirty signal (not clean flashes) or just solid ground. VSS sensors usually don't work in reverse either so test it in a forward gear.
