Go up to post 127. It pretty much still looks exactly like it did there, except the forward edges are trimmed.
Tomorrow I'll get some new pics.

Woo woo good luck with the primer! I think this is going to be pretty good-looking.
What method are you going to use to paint it?

Using spray cans. Apparently one full can per coat! :O
Here are a couple of pix after the first primer coat. The edges are mostly finished, but still lots of filling & smoothing out to do. (Flat grey primer hides a lot in a photo!)
More pics later....

Thanks, guys.
More pixxors!
The home-made brackets. Flattened & bent copper pipe, aluminum rivets. Yes. I drilled into the hatch. The sweet, pristine hatch! Oh well. I need to seal with silicone and paint these black.
Detail of the underside. I glassed in that cross member to stiffen things up. The trailing edge was a little flappy over bumps before I did that. I'll just be brush painting flat black under here. You can't see the crossmember standing behind the car - you have to get underneath and look up.
Detail of the leading edge. 5 screws up top, and there will be 2 or 3 screws per side as well. Hopefully I can find some kind of trim button to put over them to make it look a bit more pro. (Pro would have been fasteners on the underside only...) That's a strip of black duct tape on the side to protect the paint because I've been un/re-installing this multiple times while constructing.

wow, looks amazing.
Have you considered putting a 3rd brakelight on the kammback, so that those in taller vehicles know when you are braking?
