This fake brake vent in the fender flare of this Hilux is odd to say the least.

With no articulation, it has a farm wagon steering setup. The front bumper turns with the wheels.
Mid engine behind curved side skirts.

That is cool, but no Ackerman, sure makes attention to properly securing one's cargo a high priority, and as best as I can tell, there was only a single drive axle.

Ackerman not required. The wheelbase and track changes side-to-side.
No anti-intrusion bars on those single skinned doors.

You're still correct about securing the load. To get any sort of turning circle, the front track contracts and the whole thing gets tippy. Downhill in corners like Jeremy Clarkson's Reliant.

Why not square corners, they had them elsewhere.

Brake cooling?

EDIT:
Looks to be a thing....................................

Another example.
Ultra Cool ALUMINUM Brake Fans Small 5 Brake Fan (5/8 stud)
https://www.circletracksupply.com/ul...fs5-625x1.html
Quote:
Ultra Cool ALUMINUM Brake Fans has developed a patented solution for a common problem of brake failure in the racing industry, the lack of sufficient heat dissipation from the braking system. Its design has proven to be very effective in the removal of heat from the rotor, preventing the thermal heat build-up in the braking system. Some features of Ultra Cool Brake Fans include the ability to cool the wheel side of the brake caliper and rotor, helping to prevent brake fade and rotor warp. Ultra Cool Brake Fans also decrease pressure under the car, thus increasing down force and air flow through the radiator. Because of the efficiency of Ultra Cool Brake Fans, often times the need for conventional brake ducts and blowers is reduced or eliminated. Simply install the one-piece Ultra Cool Brake Fan between the hub and wheel and see results.
The only products on the market that cool the wheel side of the caliper.
Pumps 8 to 11 times more CFM than conventional brake blowers.
Weighs much less than conventional brake ducts and blowers.
Removes heat from the wheels, in turn cooling the tires.
Lowers pressure under the car, increasing down force by removing air through the wheels while cooling the brakes.
Decreases pressure behind the radiator, thus allowing more air flow through the radiator and more tape on the grille for added down force.
