That's Bleugene, Oregon, in the 1950s. You can see the big zero on Skinner's Butte and the sign for the Heilig theater that stretched across Willamette Street. It appears to be 10 of the late models and 4 or so of the older versions.

Back in the 1930s Breers added a 2nd windscreen to improve aerodynamics. Something similar here.

Those fins help take advantage of Bernoullis principle and draw the car towards the ground. It shortens the space available for the air to pass through thus accelerating the airflow reducing pressure, resulting in downforce gains.

They have a width to them, like a wedge or prism.

I'm hoping those are feeler gauges, 'cause if that's the future of aerodynamics I want off.

I'm guessing it's that. Probably want to see in detail the changes in underbody aerodynamics in a dynamic environment, where the pitch and yaw of the body changes in regard to the oncoming air.

I was thinking actual abrasion meters, but now that I look at it those might be pylons to put instrumentation probs in the middle of the air flow.

Not vortex generators.

I'm not going to claim any of these cars are "aerodynamic", just looking at the oddity of the double bubble.

The Abarth 750 GT was derived from the Fiat 600 sedan. The Etceterini often began with modified Fiat platforms and mechanical components which were mated to handmade bodies that were lighter and far more exotic than the Fiats they started as. The famous double bubble shape was created with the goal of reducing weight and frontal area for better performance. Aerodynamic studies suggested that the double bubble roof shape reduced drag while providing headroom for the occupants.
