The first-gen fit had pretty crappy aero to start with (0.37 IIRC?)... here's a camper version for even worse aerodynamics:

They started with a pickup cap and built out. If they'd narrowed the cap to match the B-pillar and put it on four corner jacks with an accordion bellow, would it be more successful?
