I believe the whitelist problem is now fixed. Could anyone who was experiencing it confirm?
Thanks, i_am_socket - your description of the problem & your workaround helped me find the fix. But it's still a mystery why the problem suddenly started happening.

I think darin fixed the white list issues for good today, but the cookie thing might be a problem. I've never once had an issue with cookies on the site though, so I couldn't say what it might be offhand. We'll look into it.

Frank: try turning your computer off, then back on again. (Kidding.)
While researching the whitelist issue, I believe I read that the cookie is only settable on one domain. So if you're accessing "forum.ecomodder.com", it may not appear to work on the home page, at "ecomodder.com". More research needed.

Relatively minor, but annoying issue.
When I go to the home web site, I would typically select forums. At the forum screen when I type in my user name at the login, it doesn't find the login/password I normally would expect. It finds whoops, instead of Whoops, with no password. When I select recently posted and then try to login, it will find the correct name, pull up the correct password and let me login.
This has taken me several trips around the block before I could figure out what I was doing different, when it would let me login and when it would not.

Do you know how to clear your cookies?
I think making the change that corrected the "Post/whitelist" errors people were seeing may have also changed the way the site handles cookies. If you clear your cookies and return to your usual procedure (and also check the "remember me" option when you log in), I'd be interested to know if it corrects the problem you're seeing.

Trouble logging in.
Very annoying issue I've been having
Lately I'm having a lot of trouble logging in. I would type in my username and password. Then the website goes to the normal "Redirecting... Thank You for logging in, Taco Bowl" page. After that my page refreshes itself and im back onto the forum page. However, Im still not logged in . Sometimes I would have to do it ten times straight until Im finally logged in. Sometimes i would click post reply and then log in. But that trick doesnt work either. In my opinion the system is very tempermental on whether or not to accept me. Any advice on how to bypass this issue would be appreciated.

We've noticed that and are looking into it. The solution seems to be using only http://forum.ecomodder.com/ rather than http://ecomodder.com/forum
