Don't worry officers, I'm not going to brain you with this window screen!

I was picturing making a 12"x12" screen, hooking it with 4 strings (like a parachute) to a fish scale.
Then have someone drive you 72 MPH while you hang it all out the passenger window..

Then, stick a sheet of paper 12x12 over it for the 'B' test..?.

I think the screen load has to do with the laminar flow over the wire segments increasing in velocity and getting thicker as speed increases.
As the flows get thicker, the laminar flows start interfering with each other..
Resulting in a general surface turbulence that is so dense, that air can only
pass at slower speeds.

My aero novice guess is a very tight screen that is turned at sharp angle to the wind direction will display some lift as surface turbulence acts as a buffer, keeping the fast moving air from contacting the mesh.
Kinda like the golf ball effect.?.

I actually thought the retort was pretty funny (especially 8 days later). There goes my odd sense of humor again. Seriously though: a brick wall traveling at highway speeds and putting another vertical slab on it doesn't help its Cd? Gasp! Oh, wait, that was supposed to be serious. Sarcasm wins again!

Do some research on how and why (specifically) they are done and then disprove all the real world experience and evidence to the contrary with reproducible numbers and experimentation. Go ahead. I'll wait.

Love all this clean blocking. Beats the heck out of my tape. But after today I'll need to figure out some breathing gaps. WT spiked up to 200F when I got stuck in a mile of construction traffic. GAH!!! I haven't heard my cooling fan in so long, I knew my baby was feeling the heat.

Sorry I must be tired 2:42am EST coming off a 24hr shift.
Total mental image reading that almost squirted pop out my nose. Lost it at "It's ok I'm a firefighter...." Funny crap

Here are my aero mods

My aero mods have mad my car feel like I am drafting off a mini van when I am alone at 60 mph and my top speed went from 81 to 87 on the same day that I did them....top speed on a nearby interstate....still being passed by others.

Shortly after being modded I drove on a round trip of 400+ miles on a 95 degree day with no temp troubles at all. The grey material on the bumper came from a trimmed piece of interior plastic that originally was used on the hatch.
