Three and a half hours. Yikes!!
I see it's broken up into chapters, I might have time for some of them. Any recommendation? Am I bad for wanting to see the 1949-54 pickup and Corvette in the background?
The best [liked] interview I've seen today is Tyrus and Trump.
It's only 29 minutes.

Today the Scottster did a good job of steelmanning the ab*rtion issue. He starts by reframing it as 'bodily autonomy' and then broadening the scope. 26:02 -- 32:52
The video at ?t=4831 is pretty good too.

I disliked it because obfuscating the issue with evasive terminology is the opposite of a steel-man. That said, he was absolutely directionally correct with a pragmatic approach to the issue.
The Issue is the conditions with which it is legal to terminate human life. A steel man argument would define those conditions in a convincing manner. For that reason, the reframe totally fails.
That said, finding the nearest common ground is the most necessary part of persuasion, and leveraging obfuscating language can help with that. I'm just not the type of person to use imprecise language over precise just to dupe weaker minds to see things as I do.
The logic of getting decision making out of the federal government and distributing to local as an example of the opposite of dictatorship is spot on though. If only the other 89% of federal government that is inappropriate to be handled at that level would also follow suit. Most of the 3-letter agencies consume money and deliver nothing, or worse.

Think of it as a 'reframing'.

As far as I can tell, there are 3 purposes of reframing:
1. Change perspective towards something more reflective of reality
2. Create a directionally true perception despite an inaccurate description
3. Attempt to deceive for ideological reasons
#3 is out for me, always. #2 is acceptable to me so long as it's for the good; "alcohol is poison". #1 is what I strive for.
I don't find utility in deceiving myself that the issue is "bodily autonomy". That reframe is net-negative unless used in some pragmatic way to extend a conversation with a persuadable person.
I think of everything as a reframe, because that's all we're capable of. The frames should align with reality or they will eventually collapse. Robust frames persist longer than the weak ones. It's why I reject the fads that will have failed the test of time in a handful of years.
To really offend everyone, I expect something like GATTICA will happen soon (in my lifetime) where we won't be discarding undesirable life so much as engineering to our preferences. A new level of dystopia is created when choice is maximized.
It's almost as if knowledge of good and evil and obtaining some god-like capabilities has unintended negative consequences.

Brett and Heather's latest podcast dives into the severe flaws with their team color, and unambiguously supports the other color as a means of correction.
I've got a lot of respect for those who can identify flaws in their team and champion a competitor that will force growth. In other words, people who not only refuse to regurgitate whatever their team tells them to, but also explain why it's wrong.
To recap their rise to prominence; they were cancelled because they refused to be intimidated into staying home instead of teaching their classes. You're hearing that correctly; fired for doing their jobs instead of not doing it.
I can just imagine that conversation with my boss. "You were scheduled to work 8-5 yesterday, and then you worked those hours, what do you have to say for yourself?"

"Teaching while White"?
Elon Musk: "I'm going to buy Dominion next and incorporate that technology in Tesla. I can make 100 cars a day and 60 more will show up overnight"
edit:
I'd like to see Trump's speeches AI translated to German, to see if it sounds like the other guy.

No he talks different and the verbal wander doesn't translate well, at least when I was in east berlin last summer watching DW news. Then there's the issue with translating the hand gestures since I don't recall much waving during speaches of WW2.

The other guy pumped his fists up and down, Trump plays an invisible accordion.
Harris sounds better with bongos.

Scat bongos like the beatniks or some sort of rhythm? Or is the whole point to be loud enough to not hear?
