Scat bongos. It's a trope on the Greg Gutfeld show to fill in the Cap'n Kirk verbal pacing.

Best interview in a while? Elon Musk and a room full of brain surgeons:
"Which is harder brain surgery or rocket science?"

"Which is harder rocket surgery or brain science?"
Watch the video, they talk about how the robot that implants the thousand -going on a million- wires in ten minutes would be limited to subsonic speeds.

I listened, and I've heard the basic premise before. Reading and listening as input methods is a bottleneck, and accessing the info in a more efficient way will unlock potential.
I might be around when this is good enough to risk the procedure and price. I'll require a heck of a firewall to keep nefarious people out of my head.

I think it depends on how close you need to be after the rocket surgery. 3 miles was safe for a shuttle booster. Below ground level with 3ft thick building if you needed to be closer.
Do they mention how they go sonic in such a small space with such teensie equipment? Betcha they didn't even mention the sonic boom wave.

If things like dopamine could be controlled via brain chip, it would make addiction to harmful behaviors easy to defeat. It could also provide incentive to seek behaviors that align with ones values.
The "vice" industry might not do so well if we can hack our minds to dislike those things.
Having just realized this, I'm disappointed to have been born too soon to really take advantage of the cyborg future.

Short horizon? What do you grant yourself, four years? Ten?
Beam It Down -- Bill Whittle
How about a kilowatt of power by laser to a Starlink-like antenna on your roof?
I'm a half hour into today's Episode 2644. He's debating destroying the existence of an apostrophe.

The problem is having already lost half the years I could have been leveraging cyborg tech... and I don't expect it to be widely adopted for another quarter century or more.
I was just watching Bill's "What We Saw" on USSR. He's such a good story teller; nearly as good as Mike Rowe.
Beamable power is only useful for locations so remote and incapable of being powered locally, which are mission critical.

Else you could have read The Power of Positive Thinking, and rebooted yourself.

So... well past the AI Singularity then.
