added an EV.
- everything on the list so far are technically semi-enclosed scooters.
- some states may call some of these a car since they have 3 wheels.
- some states cay call some of these a scooter, but no special license is required.
i'm still on the hunt to build a list of more car-like, under 20K.

If you're looking for a car-like vehicle with remarkable fuel efficiency for under $20k and seating for at least one, for you to use as a daily driver, please say so.
If so, I recommend the first-generation Honda Insight.
Here's one up for auction, which sells on Wednesday: Copart

i'm just building a list in case anyone else has the same interest.
i am looking, but i won't make my mind up for months.
the insight is a great car, but to purchase a car in CA when i live in OH just doesn't sound practical. especially the listed salvaged vehicle with front end damage.
-- i am also surprised how hard it is to find used insights, especially early models.

can someone identify this TTW "car" ?
in addition, can you submit links other than the links associated at this URL?

It is actually a tilting motorcycle-based reverse trike with a recumbent seat.

OK this is funny:
"Welcome to the WORLD OF TOMORROW!"
The body styling of the PULSE gives it a fantastic futuristic look, at the same time following form with function. The aerodynamic shape allows the vehicle to cut through the wind and results in unusually high fuel mileage and performance. The PULSE has ten (10) times less drag than a motorcycle and its rider. The body is also designed in such a way as to increase stability and directional control as speed increases. The drag coefficient is .193

In a heartbeat!
Too bad only <400 were ever made.
It may be the closest thing to an Aptera anyone will ever get. I do hope the aptera gets built though.
I bet if you said in 1980 that we would "all" be driving 5000 lb. 14mpg suburban "sport" type vehicles you would have been laughed off the roller rink.

Quite a few fun-looking reverse trikes at Reverse Trike Motorcycle Club. Biotrike looks like a good candidate for the list.
