You may have covered this in another thread, but do you have a working prototype of your drive yet? I'm a visual person, so I'm trying to wrap my head around it, but seeing diagrams or a video I could understand it better.

My other question, which might have also been answered in other threads, since the vehicle is basically a wing shape, do you anticipate any adverse effects of lift at speed?

This is not really a "working" prototype. It's fixed displacement and running on compressed air. It does show that the design is balanced with just my hand holding it in place there is no vibration at about 2000 RPM (estimated). The next one will be variable displacement, externally adjustable through the non moving hub, while the outside remains in motion. It will be hydraulic, not driven by compressed air. Basically like a KERS system but with an accumulator and the capability to recharge the accumulator, independently of vehicle speed or power demands. Being infinitely variable as far as displacement, power application can be controlled precisely,regardless of accumulator pressure level, while engine (or battery and motor) will be used to recharge the accumulator, independently of vehicle speed or power applied.

Nice! It would be a nice addition and should provide good fuel economy. Too bad these engines are imported from China. Oh well, everything else is.

The way it is set up You could use any engine within reason as long as it does not impede into the driver and passenger seating area, which is going to be tight already.
The Honda engine was basically free and I think it will have enough power for this application.

9 HP does not sound like much but remember it is almost half a liter (432CC) and the torgue is 16 foot pounds which is what will really drive this vehicle.

At this point in the money spent, a different engine will mean I use this Honda engine in a bike, but personally I think it will be fine.

the 2cv only had 9 HP, and it was a larger vehicle...

Went to the machine shop and paid the final bill on the trike. I'm planning on picking it up when the weather clears up enough to not have to tow it home in snow, slush, salt, or rain. I think it has not hit 60 degrees here 3 times in 6 weeks, another round this week starting tomorrow. I rode a bike 816 miles in January two years ago, haven't rode 20 miles since January 1st 2014.
