I posted the car on Kijiji on Thurs. Now fielding about one inquiry a day from this neck of the woods (west Quebec, east/central Ontario).

Some are clearly Insight aficionados by their questions.

Some clearly can't read! (The ad directs people here to learn details of the car.)

I had mine on c/l for about half a day once a few years ago. I think it was someone asking "How different is it from a CRX?" that put me over the edge and made me pull the ad down ha ha.

Tail is on (raccoon damage to the bottom repaired... coroplast this time). Parked in a 'coon-proof garage tonight.

You're going to have lots of fun with this machine, and I know I'll miss it.

(PS: glad it's going to an EcoModder! Staying in the family.)

Got it about three hours ago and I'm loving it... cue music

Stopped at a rest stop and after 175km I'm at 2.8l or 82.7mpg. It was an even 90 after the rural highway stretch at the start.

MetroMPG even let me take a ride in the forkenswift which was fun, and has peaked my interest in a classic mini conversion but I have no time now and I doubt it would ever be more economical than the insight. I'm 6'4" and find the car more comfortable than most. I love the simplicity of a flat door panel.

Bye!

How fast were you cruising on the freeway?

Here's the parting shot -- sayonara, U.F.O.:

Minispeed, it was a pleasure to meet you and the "demo" drives were fun. It's not often I get to drive with someone as interested in efficiency as you.

Be gentle with that old pack (build that grid charger), and watch out for 'coon nests in the tail!!

Hwy cruise was holding 62mph in lean burn as much as possible. Some Hills it would drop to 50. I tried to never hold up traffic below the speed limit so if I had someone behind I wouldn't let it drop under 58 even on a hill. I never realized how hilly this hwy was! It is nice that most people move over to pass far in advance so if I'm doing 55 or 50 it doesn't matter cause they moved over as soon as they realized I was slower.

That's the nice thing about having a tail.....

...... most people either follow out of curiosity, or pass right away, since the tail gives away the purpose of the car.

Welcome to the family.

Jim.
