I was pointing to the fact (among others) that the two relevant numbers both converge on 1000. What are those odds? Would the Venn diagram show any overlap?
Sturgis is apples and oranges with de-secularizing the globally revered structure that brought Turkey into the modern era when it was turned into a museum.
Hagia Sophia is as big a deal as Notre Dame [was] and Sagrada Familia [is and will be]. By not being a sectarian house of worship.
Quote:
In 1935, the first Turkish President and founder of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, transformed the building into a museum. The carpet and the layer of mortar underneath them were removed and marble floor decorations such as the omphalion appeared for the first time since the Fossatis' restoration,[103] while the white plaster covering many of the mosaics was removed. Nevertheless, the condition of the structure deteriorated, and the World Monuments Fund (WMF) placed Hagia Sophia on 1996 World Monuments Watch, and again in 1998.

Restoration work was concluded in 2006.

Funny, I was contemplating a baseball cap with UV LEDs in the brim about 15 years ago to kill anything that drifts towards the wearers face.
Probably would be 99% ineffective, but it'd sell on home shopping TV.

Anything with enough UV to kill microbes and you'll be blind in about 15 minutes. Go look at a commercial modern stove vent with the filters off for a bit then report back the results. Btdt, fooking installer wired the safety switch wrong.
Btw there is enough room on a face mask for small shark mouths

That's why I was going to mount on the brim, facing down. A curtain of light that doesn't shine on your body.

I suspect Ecomodder ate my previous reply, maybe I didn't hit Post
Blue lasers would blind you but they read DVDs. UV can't be better.
The example encloses the light in a Sterile-Vortex so you have Words working for you.
UAE in Spaaaaace....
Did you notice when the United Arab Emirates launch a probe to Mars a month ago?
Today they announce an accord with Israel. I say no Nobel for Trump because the award has been thoroughly tainted. It turns out the key to peace in the Middle East was allowing airline flights into Israel for access to a mosque.
In other news, Papua New Guinea traps China in its own debt trap.

I have a UV source like that. Only problem is it kills any bugs that fly near it and I took that as an indication probably not safe.

Of course if it's effective, it's not going to be safe. Controlling the danger is key to maximizing effectiveness and minimizing harm.

I need one of those for my carport. I could turn it on in the morning and turn if off before I go outside. But still, I'd put it behind a Fresnel lens:
Then add barn door shutters to focus it at one spot.
