The most common state deadline for election officials to receive absentee or mail ballots is on Election Day when the polls close. Some states, however, accept and count a mailed ballot if it is received after Election Day but postmarked prior to the election.

What constitutes a postmark is changing. Because less mail gets truly postmarked, many states are accepting an Intelligent Mail barcode (IMb) as evidence.

PA is asking for 3 days grace. Oregon has 8pm on election day.

There's a long stretch from November xth to 2021-01-20. Should be interesting times.

I still don't get why anyone tolerates waiting to vote. Not in the "screw this, I'm going home" sense, but more of the "which of these jerks set things up to make it hard for me to vote? I want his head now" sense.

I think it's taken more than 15 minutes out of my day only once. And usually some of that time is simply avoiding the sign wavers outside.

When I was working for Symantec in the 1990s doing tech support and living in a geodesic dome, I voted at the Peterson Park Barn (now Community Center).

In the 1970s before I left carpentry for the Apple ][, I worked on the remodel. I framed those windows and did a lot of interior work. ...that I got to see again — 20 years later.

I'm not really as well traveled as some, but I learned to really like the Vietnamese people.

I've been listening to Luna Oi on Youtube, admittedly because I like her accent; and her pitching Marxist-Leninism is toothless and kind of endearing. Lightweight informative.

Except at 8:30 into her video "These three rules will help you OVERTHROW CAPITALISM! [Dialectical Materialism Part 3]" she says:

"For example: in the USA now, I believe that it is time to have revolution because the situations over there are really terrible and we’ve had enough people willing to fight for major changes,"

Presumably she delivers this opinion from Viet Nam. What about the Vietnamese women who left there and came to the USofA? More like this:
