I don't see a goal there. I can't even come up with a group- the people involved are too many.

These actions are being proposed, supported and implemented by people who oppose each other. Fauci has never fully called Trump out, and Trump hasn't fired him. Pelosi and McConnell managed to find something they could agree on well enough. Governors of all stripes have implemented restrictions, and have been supported by nearly all of their legislatures.

The number of people actually involved here is too great to be some secret group of conspirators, they're just our government- and as dysfunctional as we've made it.

The government is fit for purpose; none better. It has been abrogated by a small number of people.

A planned 16-year coup, the Obama-Clinton plan, has been unwound in the last four years by a military counter-coup. The counter-countercoup (pestilence and violence) is weak.

Scott Adams is talking about a red pill coming this week that will take until the end of the year to play out. That's after the election.

The group is the far left communist constituency of the democratic party that has silenced the majority and made many of them useful idiots in their goal to cause civil unrest as evidence that capitalism has failed, and that we must radically shift to an authoritarian government in which we place allegiance to a few benevolent rulers.

This group isn't unified and revealed yet, but racist and despicable groups have emerged that are loosely unifying. The process is in motion.
