Thanks for quoting Walt Kelly. My copy is buried somewhere and I can't find it online, but in the Preface to Ten Ever-Lovin' Blue-Eyed Years With Pogo, Walt Kelly explained the reason everything went sideways in Vietnam because the diplomatic corps liked being posted to Vietnam, compared to e. g. Africa, because the women were hot.
The town i grew up in, where my brother still lives, had a flashing yellow light over the intersection from maybe 1980 until 2000 or so.

I call Commies as I see them. Not saying they are not well-intentioned, but then what dictator didn't want to exact their vision of utopia and break a few (million) eggs in the process of their half-baked omelette? Their naive vision proved catastrophically deadly time and time again by history. "eat the rich" is Communist. It's a self-defeating idea that places responsibility of outcome primarily on others. Nonsense, as we're present 100% of the time in our own actions, while others are fleetingly involved.
I'm not involved in politics because it's boring and pointless at an individual voter level. I do draw red lines and clearly state what they are, and what the consequences of crossing them are. I'm also of the mind that I'm free to leave whenever people around me get their hands on too much Kool-Aid. I've got no expectation for idiots to be reasonable, but I do expect them to respect individual rights and liberty.

We invent machines to tend to menial tasks so we can focus on more interesting things. Since we're adaptive by nature, a larger and larger portion of life becomes menial as we increasingly leverage technology.
The interesting subject is what happens when the most interesting thing we can concern ourselves with is a menial task to our machines?
If there's no point in bothering ourselves over anything, then what's the point of hanging around?

Do you think this conversation has ever happened?
"Stop being racist!"
"Why do you say I am racist?"
"You are white!"
"You are telling me to... stop being white?"

This was the last thing I'd viewed before I came back here. Perhaps it answers —or attempts to— the question?

There are many doctrines in the world, and communism is one of them. If you go with the easy "spectrum" idea, simply because something is to the left of your ideals does not make it communist any more than being somewhat to their right makes you a fascist.
Applying labels that people don't like to ideas you don't like is easy, but inaccurate. It drags things down, and attempting to "prove" that someone farther along the spectrum than you like deserves the title at the far end drags things down farther. "I disagree with that, I think it goes to far" is a perfectly good position and a perfectly good argument. There's no need for simple name calling in either direction.

Good position, good argument; bad grammar.
A 'spectrum' is reductive. Adding at least one dimension is better; progressive/conservative vs authoritarian/libertarian for instance. That allows one to distinguish e. g., anarcho-communist and anarcho-capitalist. I'd say CHAZ/CHOP is authoritarian-communist what with the walls and warlord[s].

Fat Charlie — Thank you for thanking me.
Scott Adams promoted Akira the Don:
Good vs good. Scott Adams, "He makes me sound better, is that autotuned?"
Ya think?
Akira the Don extracted the clip.
edit:
For comparison, the original version, from 2018-06-27. I think he [AtD] has improved as an artist.
Still doesn't have the clout of the Carpe Donktum 'Terrified Toddler' video, though.
2nd edit:
Tim Pool covered the political baggage being attached to a red triangle. They did pretty good, but the closest they got to a Japanese Stop sign was the Yield sign.
They also cover the anti-Gadsden flag, so maybe you need a palate cleanser:

I didn't say anyone to the left of me is Communist or disparage those on the left in any way. I referred to the far left, who has hijacked the good people of the Democratic party and their values.

You're not disagreeing with anything I've said. I qualified my "name calling" when I stated: "...has silenced the majority and made many of them useful idiots in their goal to cause civil unrest as evidence that capitalism has failed, and that we must radically shift to an authoritarian government in which we place allegiance to a few benevolent rulers." I'm specifically saying that those with Communist ideology are tragically ignorant at best, or ill intentioned at worst. I always assume naivety when that is plausible, as very few people intend to burn the world and wreak havoc for humanity.
"Simple name-calling" means one has used a term in a derogatory manner without qualifying the name. Show me any post where I've name-called without qualification and I will sincerely apologize. BTW, name calling with qualification is to label with definition.
