The nuts were funny the very first time I saw them. Then not so much.
I can't think of any way that this information would be beneficial to match the costs associated with it. The driver's phone number as a license plate might be...

How about current level of insurance coverage? That would be helpful to people like me, in determining whether or not to let someone tailgate me foolishly. Of course, it would only be helpful on the front windshield.

I don't get it.
flow of traffic is just that. if its halted quick, it may be a pile up, it may not.
I would like to see old ladies in old hondas keep thier lights on bright when doing 25 on a dark maine 75-110 mph highway...no sign necessary. Just use lights. lights are good, especially in the dark.
going anal retentive with things when real things can't even be real yet....is unbelievable to me.

The speedometer idea was basically for the cars of those of us who drive more slowly than approaching traffic, in hopes that it may aide the idiot drivers approaching at higher speeds to notice that we're going slower than they are, so they can plan accordingly.
As nice as it sounds, it probably wouldn't work.

No amount of warning would have any effect on the way some drivers would react. Most of them would probably still barrel up on your a-- hoping there would be nothing coming and they could whip around you real quick without having to slow down. I've noticed that 95% of the time after a person gets behind me and knows I'm driving slower they don't back off, but continue to ride my bumper and probably having to brake quite frequently. If I come up on someone driving slower I try to put a few hundred feet buffer between me and them so if they slow down maybe I can just let off the gas and coast and never have to brake.

If someone starts riding my backside, I slow down. If they don't get the hint, I usually use a non-signalled method for slowing quickly, such as locking the parking brake.
I've got insurance, do you?
