Nice new car!
Sigh. My new commute is really dragging me down. It's shorter, so I'm using less fuel, which is nice. But the mpg numbers are lower as well.

A better route trumps better gas mileage any day, man! If it saves gas in the end, it's still a win.
Now you just need to re-tweak your car to tune it to the new route.

Not a member and for the good of the team, won't join for a while due to some issues with my 98 Civic LX that need attention. Have read the entire thread (unless I accidentally skipped something) in the last few days. Thought this would be the best place to ask where others are mounting their scangauges in these cars? In my Ranger it was a simple little bracket I bent up that fit into the ashtray but on the Honda I haven't found the sweet spot yet. I'd loaned the SG out when I didn't have an OBDII vehicle to use it on but now it's time to hook it up. Should get it back this weekend.
Links or pics appreciated!

Here is a pic of where I mounted my Ultragauge in my car, which is near identical to yours:
And here is a link to how I did it (scroll down a little in the post):

Hope that helps a little... previously, I had it on the steering column in front of the gauge cluster.

Thanks. Yeah, I've considered putting it in that area where the OE CD player goes (haven't listened to a CD in years lol) but I'm looking for something higher up and more visible.

On top of the steering column. If you need to block part of the cluster, there's always useless space (bottom right of speedo, etc) to be found.

A new best tank for me:
69.1 mpg, over 678.8 miles in my 2000 Insight.
Wa-hooo!!!
AND - This weekend I plan to clean the EGR manifold passages. That should give some additional improvement.

Do you have a CEL yet? http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthrea...ges-33469.html
My previous ten tanks averaged 41 MPG and the next ten averaged 46.6; 13.6%.
