Seyz the guy parked almost directly under the equator :P
It's dark at 4:30pm in the winter and the sun doesn't rise until 7:30 at the 45th parallel. On Thursday, my 6.4 kW solar pointed perfectly south at just the right angle produced 1 kWh of electricity. The entire day gave me 12 cents of juice.
Might be appropriate in some use cases, but if you've got to back it up with a genset then there is no savings.

Seen comment about repositioning panels for more efficiency at lower sun angles. Could make 2kw that way, maybe.

Are you being cute, or is your position solar cell orientation has no effect, or whatever effect it might have is not worth your effort?

Renogy for price and my personal experience. They are a midpriced brand and I cant see paying the price for something like Victron. The Renogy parts I purchased are 1/2 the price of the same Victron parts so unless everything breaks Im still ahead if the game. That is very unlikely- like I said Ive been using Renogy parts for 7 years without a problem.

Both.
If I could gain 25% more output by adjusting tilt, then I'd go from generating 1kWh per day to 1.25 kWh per day, or an extra 3 cents worth of electricity (yesterday it generated 578 Wh all day). That, assuming I could adjust my roof angle. As it happens, my roof angle was already nearly ideal for spring production.
I'm going to get practically nothing from my panels until March. The overproduction credit is being drawn down quickly. The season I use the most electricity is the one where the least gets generated by solar.

Blew my fence over again. Doubt the neighbor will prop it up even though they're the one with the dog.
I've been discussing replacing it and going 50/50 on the cost, so they put in a new front deck.

Pretty common here in Oregon. Im amazed people don’t build fences better here and just buy 8 foot 4x4s and put 2 foot in the ground, 6 feet above and then are surprised when the fence blows over when the ground is saturated in winter. Growing up in Michigan it was 50/50. 6 feet in the ground to get below the frost line and 6 feet above. Never had a fence blow over and the fence my dad and I built when I was 10 is still standing
We have now replaced all 3 fences we share with Neighbors. I insisted we spend the tiny amount extra to go 4 feet down in the ground and made sure the concrete was above ground level and rounded so water would run off instead of pool and rot out the fence posts. We did a fence party - 4 neighbors went in together and purchased in bulk. Had a contractor do the upright and we did the rest ourselves over a weekend.

That just tells me it is a prime location for a wind wall. Here're 8 videos on the subject: www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLbQqm4rNo625lXTbJCAsJzbwC52YlLyza
Edit: I see that doesn't include the Ugrinsky turbine: 2062 Ugrinsky Wind Wall Module
