Quite so!
No doubt 'the art of war' expounds on how people you have managed to get to lose their temper can't add 2 and 3 in that moment, but feel compelled to react/reply immediately, putting them at a great disadvantage.
IMHO stooping to these kinds of tactics in what should be a civilized debate with the goal of learning/concluding things is deplorable.
Imagine what would happen if these exchanges were face to face with all the people aerohead has used them on, on this forum alone!
Most disturbing is that he considers them and thus himself clever!
For anyone wondering who ademonrower is:
I’m basically a biochemist, and I like understanding how things work. I have a first degree from the University of Cambridge, UK, and a PhD jointly from the Medical Research Council Laboratory of Molecular Biology and the University of Cambridge. For 9 years I was a programme manager at the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO), and then worked for 13 years as an Editor-in-Chief with the publisher Wiley-VCH. I have lived in Germany since 1999, and in 2021 I became entirely self-employed as an independent scientist, advisor and communicator. Favourite pastimes of mine are mending things instead of buying new, and finding ways of living more sustainably. I love sailing and music (I play piano and violin). https://andrewmoorescientist.com/about-contact/

Of course, this could all change if we invent completely new battery chemistries or technologies that have MUCH less environmental impact. I'm not one to walk around saying "it's all going to be OK when the breakthrough arrives" because it's more than just a tech company at stake here: it's the ecosphere and the very biodiversity that we humans rely on for our continued existence. Ever seen the Makay cartoon of the four tsunami waves heading for humanity? First one is COVID; behind and above it economic recession; behind and above that climate crisis; and finally, towering above the other three biodiversity collapse. I'm not joking: we're well on course for that one. Looking out for industrial things that further degrade the environment is an absolute necessity: CO2 is much less complicated and much "easier" to put figures to and invent compensation schemes, certificates etc. which don't really work either. Ecosystem metrics are very complicated, but they are the long-term worrying thing. Even if we get CO2 under control, it's the wider environmental disaster that will be our final downfall.

What do you think of the numbers mentioned in section 4 of this video ademonrower?
I agree with it's basic premise, but those numbers??

Baseline should come from deep, hot geothermal, or tidal power.
We're lucky to find any Lithium at all. It's atomic number is 3, but it's abundance in the solar system is 28th, between Selenium and Krypton. A bit of a mystery.
Edit: She mentions gravity batteries. Does anyone recall the 2010 Copiapó mining accident?
The Boring company should be able to make a plug in a mesa in the Southwest and use air pressure to store Terawatts of power. Else lasers:

Geothermal drilling with the high-power laser - Fraunhofer IPT
In addition to a conventional mechanical drill head, a water-guided high-power laser beam is used. In order to drill hard rock such as granite at a reasonable cost, a laser power of up to 30 kW is required, which is introduced into the borehole in a precise manner by the laser-water-jet and therefore supports...
