Why do you insist at speculating on what is going on rather than read about it in the links provided? You act as though you had put down a deposit and are pissed that it took longer than you had expected, but I gather you are not buying a Tesla.

Model 3 Standard will now be a software-limited version of the Standard Plus, and we are taking it off the online ordering menu, which just means that to get it, customers will need to call us or visit any one of the several hundred Tesla stores. Deliveries of Model 3 Standard will begin this weekend.

It's all right in that link.

From your link, that was extrapolated from Tesla's release..."If our understanding is correct, this might mean that the $35,000 Model 3 is no more beginning today and will now begin at a higher base price. Those who already ordered at this original price should see their delivery in the coming weeks."

If...might...should...coming weeks...

I guess it is clear, my bad.

I get that in the last 24 hours there has been more clarification, but at this point it's hard to trust anything they say. I'm not pissed at anything, just willing to call out odd behavior and poor communication. I think Musk and Trump are very similar in how they run their show. I hope they both succeed but a train wreck could happen at any point.

quote from a buyer posted a few hours ago on that link...

"Bad news 35k-ers...I just logged in and they added $3k to my account for autopilot. If I already have an email with a purchase agreement saying it's included, do I have a leg to stand on here?"

then a reply...
"same....I got a request to pay $35k this AM. I did. I got a vin. it said 35k for a car with included autopilot. It was all done, with a vin and a planned delivery. Now...they updated it and claim I owe them $3,200 more. Hmmm...Tesla is wild. They're a bit like my 5 year old, lots of thrust with little vector."

so really?

I see similarities with between Musk and Trump too with the hype, tweets, and inability to ignore critics. There's probably some similarity between Tesla (the person) and Musk too.

My guess is a mistake in the ordering process added autopilot when it was supposed to be software disabled. Tomorrow's tweet will probably clarify.

I thought tesla or musk said they come with autopilot effectively today. Period, no more argument. They also said needs to not be free.

Electrek claims the Model 3 Standard Range has finally been delivered, for the correct price, no AutoPilot and all. See the Model 3 thread: https://ecomodder.com/forum/showthre...tml#post596136

Tesla has delivered the $35K Model 3s.

So 2 of them so it's plural? I saw one on the model 3 waiting room forum but it actually almost looks like the dealer sort of let one go they weren't supposed to with the promise they would software limit it at a later date. Good for that guy but has there been more? More than one buyer on there had Tesla some back at them asking for more money before they would deliver the car so everyone was confused that Autocruise (or pilot as they call it) was now standard. Maybe they have clarified it a 4th time now, maybe they have made a few deliveries. I guess "masses" in price for the masses means something different to me then it does to Musk. I'm telling you he is exactly like Trump.

They are extremely similar in character, if only their politics are different. In my view, it's their character that is most lacking. Everything else manifests from that.
