"Fanboy' is for normies. 'Fanboi' is a sick burn.

I'm hopeful that a self-sustaining Martian colony can exist someday, as that would be evidence of tremendous technological mastery. I imagine only very poor people would live there though. Maybe Total Recall wasn't too far off in predicting that.

I hope they get the 3-boob woman right, too! But seriously, I really hope to see a Martian or lunar colony in my lifetime.

Tesla Model 3 is now the 5th highest selling car in the US:

https://insideevs.com/tesla-model-3-...-selling-cars/

It outsold ALL BMW cars sold, by more than 3,000:

Enough good reasons to like Tesla, even if I don't own one (yet).
Personally I don't get any of the arguments against Tesla. Money greedy, really? If Musk cared about that he'd not have invested in it that much himself.
Controlling the process... well they started out with the Roadster by buying about everything that went into the car, but learned how suppliers kept letting them down, so now they manufacture most parts themselves. Cuts costs and gives them control over quality and supply. Bad Tesla!

Then Musk shot his Roadster into space. But it was a test flight for the rocket, which needed a ballast to simulate a payload. Instead of the Roadster it could have been a 1 tonne block of steel, it would not change one thing. But you still manage to give a negative spin to it.

I've been eyeing the Kona too of course. The Merc will be out of my price range. But I'd rather have a Model 3 than either, and I'm sure there will be many more 'gullible' people like me that prefer a Model 3 over them too.

In general: the more EV's get available, the better.
Except maybe for the Prius Prime. Once EVs become abundant people will wonder why they have to pay the same or more for a car that also has a gas engine, unless they really need the range and fast fillup. But then they'd probably buy a much cheaper pure gasser.
Couldn't agree less.
Granted, the first PRIuses were ugly as hell, not to mention the leafs.
However, the newer Nissan leaf looks almost like a normal car, while the $60+k model S, looks like a 1980s $6500 car with a $75 15" touchscreen monitor in it.
Hate the interior and exterior. And now the newer model 3 is a lot smaller than even the Nissan Versa.

Other wise it's pretty simple. Might add a few hundred dollars max to overall production cost.
But if your hybrid has a tiny 1kwh or smaller battery or a very small electric motor that won't drive the vehicle much faster than 30 or 40mph it's not really worth plug in charging it.

I also remember reading an article about the 1st gen prius a long time ago, several years before the first plug in prius option was offered saying that Toyota didn't want people to start thinking you have to plug in the prius to drive it.
Interesting. It just never made sense to me that anything hybridized wasn't able to be plugged in.

Sick burn like food poisoning from jalapeņos?

I do not know why Fanboy would have a homosexual subtext, but it definitely indicates they are immature.

I just watched a video about sky cities above Venus making far more sense than colonizing Mars. It is closer, has better gravity (for humans), and a denser atmosphere.

Then another video about Dyson spheres being impossible, but a cloud of solar-powered stations orbiting a star making infinitely more sense.

Wait, I think we made a few too many left turns. I never watched "Total Recall." Weren't there two? There was a woman like that in "Dumb and Dumberer," but I watched it entirely because of the school bus.

I was overwhelmingly underwhelmed.

Methinks the lady doth protest too much.

By the way, the plural is Prii.

I do not like it, but I have never complained about it, either.

Am I the only one that knows that the plural of leaf is leaves? Focus becomes foci, but whatever.

I am going to need for you to show the picture of one comparable car available in the 1980s for $6,500. Where do you get $75 for a 15" touchscreen monitor? The cheapest one on Amazon is $175: https://www.amazon.com/1366x768-10-P...n%3A2633094011

The 2018 3 is 185″ L x 73″ W x 57″ H. The 2018 Versa is 175″ L x 67″ W x 60″ H.

Ten inches longer, six inches wider, but it must have less interior room because it is three inches shorter.

ProDigit, you Ma'am are a criticgirl.

The new Leaf only appeared when Tesla had already fixed the uncoolness issue.
The new Leaf's battery still lacks coolness btw.

And the Model 3 is bigger than the Versa Sedan, never mind the Versa Note. But if you still prefer the Versa you can be king on the cheap.
