Eventually we'll all have chips in our bodies to "track and keep our universal health records, and stop identity theft" which will be tracking every individual at all times.

You could be participating in suspicious activities and not even be aware of it. Assume you go to a friends house from work for 5 minutes to borrow a tool and unknown to you he's a drug dealer. Now lets assume the police are suspicious of him being involved in drug dealing and are watching his house, you have unknowingly just participated in suspicious activity because most drug deals are performed in a matter of seconds/minutes. Many people today are involved in suspicious activity simply by the people they know and may not even be aware of it. About 30 years ago a friend I worked with was at someone's house, the police came in a busted them for drugs, my friend called me wanting me to pay his bail, saying he was in jail for possession of marijuana because someone else dropped a bag near where he was standing. He was guilty by association. Since I went and paid his bail, I guess this made me look like a druggie even though I didn't use.

You are correct ford man.
So you only call same fried 2x a month another flag flies.
Then some others aquaintence from his group of druggies is added to your phone list because he called them to borrow whatever thing.
And you add some other person to your face book who though not connected through your friend is also a person of interest etc. etc.
Is it invasion of privacy sorta yes but it will get even more complex then this in 3 years when they track every purchase we make too.

Animal husbandry analogy:
"Funneling / herding of animals into smaller and smaller pens...until eventually they arrive at the slaughter house."

It is interesting how "Faux news" becomes "real news" on some stories but not others like climate etc. Just sayin, that debate is not here.

Fox just happened to have a video on the story. But, it was not a Fox exclusive story.
Washington Post had it along with many, many others.
Department of Homeland Security cancels national license-plate tracking plan - The Washington Post
And for the record. FOX, CNN, NBC, ABC, BBC and all other quote "main stream" so called news outlets, are all faux.
I do however like Judge Andrew Napolitano.

You are not going to be monitored when your druggie friends do a deal, or a someone who is a druggie goes to the same fast food place you do or they drive the same kind of car and you are not there and not involved and would never be there anyway.
And as a result of this you won't be put in pens just before being killed, somehow.
Wow, I'm happy - I hope you are.

So this story is "faux" and we wasted the electrons to manage this thread, otherwise how do you justify it being here ?

If that was the guy in the video he seemed more interested in the presenter's legs than the story itself, IMHO. Me too TBH

I too agree with the why worry if you have done nothing wrong. Long before the Snowden guy came to light I suspected the rapid development of technology from analog to digital, texting to face book was all accelerated and supported by the gov to aid with fighting terrorism and such.

It took forty-four responses for someone to criticize Fox? Arragonis, you, Sir, are un-American!

Sometimes I treat the news like I do Soul Train, the rap and spanish channels. I just turn down the volume and look at all the pretty women.
