That was interesting seeing that 36 volt graph. If you look at the 108 volt graph, you can see why I am changing the gearing. I did not see a 115 volt graph, but the 108 volt graph is pretty close.

For those who have not seen it

http://www.hpevs.com/Site/power_grap...graph%20FC.pdf

I didn't find that on the HPEVS site when I did my original search. The torque graph does not max out at 0 rpm. It looks much more 'normal'

Now that you've been running the Metro for a while can we get a quick review on it? Good/bad. Things you love and/or things you'd still like to change?

So far, this build is meeting the goals that I had in mind when I built it, which were mostly efficiency. I also wanted to test the ideas that I had in mind before the build, so that I can see what to change for the build that I am working on now. The 12kw charger has been great in this rig, but the lack of canbus control on it is the only thing that I want to change for my next build. As much as I like to tease the guys who have manufactured EVs about their slow chargers, I am downgrading the power a bit on my next build so that I can integrate the charger with my canbus control system. The power downgrade is from a 12kw charger to 10kw, but it will be worth it to take advantage of the canbus capability that I do not have now.

Totally love the clean build and the elegant yet cheap heater box solution - pure genius.

Wondering if you're going to do a belly pan. I've also had some great results playing with microblue ws2 coated tapered wheel bearings in my 1/2 ton truck and using NMF with ceramic bearings and ws2 on my bicycles.

After putting NMF in my transmission, I noticed I can stay in a taller gear longer on a climb.

I'm also in the process of a 1991 Suzuki Swift GT Electric build. Wondering your mileage (Wh/mi)...

I did a belly pan on the first conversion that I have documented here, and it seems to help, so I may do something like that on this one as well someday.

I would love to watch the 1991 build.

In case anyone's interested, my bare bones 1991 Suzuki Swift GT Electric build using a kit from e-volks.com

http://spdfrk.0fees.us (not the best web reputation so hit it up on your phone is probably best)

I've been at this awhile and the original site is totally googleable by searching "1991 Suzuki Swift GT Electric". Don't have the ability to update it since the divorce.

Very Forkenswift inspired...

Here she is with some of her ICE cousins here at the shop. I am not sure why the white ones keep piling up here, but they do outnumber the blues and the blacks...

The back up lights needed a little help. I had installed some LED bulbs where the originals were, but it wasn't cutting it. Here is what I did:
