I need to have all 6 cylinders on tap because this truck works hard. 3 cylinders might have a little trouble pulling 13,000 lbs up a hill. I want to be able to turn off three cylinders when running empty or near empty.

Put the feed on a toggle switch. On off. Done. Try it and let me know if it works

I pulled the codes:
172
225
Now I have to work on it again.

No. Injector feed. They're strung like an Xmas tree lights. Find one side , cut the wire, connect two wires and run them into the can and hook to a switch. You can do both side so you can alternate

Dont worry about codes. Your sensor will read lean with extra air in the exhaust from cylinders not firing Could eventry disconnecting 02 sensor. Just run in open loop. Does it need much more throttle to get going?

Or wire in a resistor to give a constant reading to the 02 circuit so it will maintain proper fuel ratio. May not need it, check your plugs that work to see if they're black

I retrieved those codes after clearing the system and driving with all 6 cylinders firing.
