...personally held PERCEPTIONS are REAL to the poeple who hold them, but just OPINIONS to someone just listening (or reading) to them.

Which is why people still think that doctors are necessarily better judges of how to treat simple ailments than the rest of us. Perception is key.

I have already been advised by a mod to keeps things civil or go to PM (in another thread/another subject). And that is what I attend on doing.
Besides the fact I have used the internet to MISDIAGNOSE myself numerous times....
Car companies have provided some form of health care for a very long time, and all I was pointing out is an uneven playing field between countries. I never even mentioned how some countries subsidize their own car industry in ways we still do not, and some TAX imported American cars, while we do not currently tax imported cars to America, and on and on. I sighted only one example of an uneven playing field and everyone goes crazy.
My feelings are clear and I have been very much involved in backing up what I believe in for years. This is a subject I care deeply about. I write letters almost everyday to most anybody in the public eye about this stuff. I am a member of various lobby groups to try and change the botched up system we currently have. I have a chronic condition and feel I am left to die because of a few bucks I do not have, how would YOU feel? My mind will not be changed on a car forum.
Once again, if we must continue a conversation about American Health Care then it really should be moved to PM and not in the middle of this thread. Members have made their cases, and although I am fairly certain nobody has proven anything to another, nor changed any minds, I see no need to keep carrying on about this subject in a public forum devoted to CARS. If need be move it to PM, I never ever meant to stir up so many replies about HEALTH CARE in this thread. SHESH.

...was just verbalizing (writing) the "...gap, gulf, void, wall, etc..." that too often separates viewpoints...and why it exists.

...on subject:
...well, I would "admire" GM more if they'd simply come out and say/admit they've "...laid an egg..." and be done with it; but, so far, they haven't done that, only made outragous MPG claims and speeches before Congress.
...where are the "independant" tests (magazines?) and data?

...given that choice (Volt vs. Vette?), except for price, I'd go with the Vette, that way I'd have better than 40 mile range before the next "charge"...just slap the shifter and stab the gas pedal!
